Wathena, KS (July 19, 2021) — Summit Truck Bodies, an innovator in custom service and lube body manufacturing, is looking forward to showcasing the latest developments in crane safety technology at the world’s largest mining show, MINExpo International, on September 13-15, 2021. Summit’s booth #8555 at the LVCC Central Hall will display the updated Advanced Safety Electronics (ASE) Phase 4 crane control system. We have given you more control from your crane remote, with industry-first functionality. We will reveal the new Gunnison Edition 4×4 service truck package for the Chevy Silverado 6500 HD.

ASE Phase 4 Updates:

  • More robust sensors and switches throughout the system extend the durability and reliability of Summit safety systems. 
  • The new mount for the main display panel eases access to update software and troubleshoot.
  • Auto-deploy the outriggers and stabilizers and auto-level the truck from their wireless crane remote control. Industry-first innovation.
  • The push-button panel in the cab has a new digital display. Due to product shortages, this update will not be in production until October 2021.
Summit Gunnison Edition 2016 Initial Release on Ford F-550

The Summit Gunnison Edition, first revealed at the MINEXPO in 2016 on a Ford F-550, has a new package designed for Chevy Silverado 6500 HD. The Chevy 6500 HD 22.5K GVWR combined with the Summit body and Gunnison package is the ultimate service truck for mining applications. Increased payload, the durable and robust truck body, extreme off-road capabilities, and safety technology make this service truck the best solution for meeting the field service demands of the most remote and harsh mines in the world.

  • 20″ Aluminum Double Beadlock Wheels
  • 2.5″ front suspension lift

Summit will exhibit a total of four service trucks at MINExpo International this year.
