We are thrilled to welcome Justin Horton to the Summit Truck Equipment team as the new Territory Sales Representative for Arizona, California, and Nevada. Justin brings a unique blend of technical expertise, practical experience, and regional knowledge, making him an excellent partner for customers throughout the Southwest.
Justin grew up in Fontana, California, and now calls Phoenix home. He began his career as a mechanic, working for Freightliner and Cummins dealerships, where he built a solid foundation in heavy-duty equipment. For the past three years, he worked out of a Summit service truck as a field technician for Transwest, Summit’s parent company. That firsthand experience using the product he now represents gives him a deep understanding of what customers need from their equipment, because he’s been in their boots.
He also spent time as a marine engine mechanic, where he learned how to work in extreme conditions. That background reinforced the importance of durability, performance, and quality craftsmanship.
Now, he’s transitioning into a sales role, bringing all that hands-on knowledge with him. Having spent years diagnosing and repairing equipment, Justin understands what matters most in the field: durability, functionality, and reliability. He’s been the guy relying on the tools and trucks to get the job done, and now he’s ready to help others make those same confident choices.
“Each state comes with its challenges,” Justin says. “Arizona and Nevada bring extreme heat. California has strict emissions standards. My goal is to help customers navigate these conditions and find a setup that truly works for them.”
Justin also served as an MLRS operator in South Korea, where he learned to operate complex systems and perform under pressure. That discipline and adaptability are qualities he brings to every customer relationship today.
Outside of work, Justin enjoys disc golf, turning wrenches on his 1996 7.3 Powerstroke, and spending time outdoors. He is also a U.S. Army veteran, having served as an MLRS operator in South Korea. That experience taught him how to operate complex systems under pressure, adapt quickly to changing environments, and work as part of a mission-driven team.
He also has a growing list of adventures he’s eager to cross off.
“I don’t always get to work on my bucket list, but the next one will be jumping off a cliff and paragliding.”
We’re proud to have Justin on the Summit team. If you’re in Arizona, California, or Nevada and are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced partner, please reach out to Justin. He’s ready to help you move your business forward with confidence.
