custom man bucket body is a great solution for utility service trucks.

Utilities sector

utility service trucks

Electricity, natural gas, water, and communications companies are all part of the utility sector that demands custom utility service trucks.

The need for power, from traditional coal to sustainable energies, increases every year regardless of how it is derived. We have witnessed a rapid evolution of it, which is why we have focused on delivering the service truck needs of the industry. We’ve stepped up to provide high-quality and safe utility truck bodies.

Field mechanics maintain infrastructure, including construction equipment, generators, vehicles, and various mechanical equipment, and they need safe and reliable tools to get the job done.

Therefore, Summit manufactures medium- to heavy-duty custom service trucks and crane truck bodies with the options utility industry technicians use regularly. We have man bucket trucks, which are in high demand, particularly in the communication and electric side of the industry, and crane service trucks serving utility and infrastructure construction companies. And we have accessories such as a utility truck air compressor, welder, and custom storage options to meet your needs.

Our utility service trucks are designed with safety in mind, and we’ve incorporated our Advanced Safety Electronics control system on hydraulic crane truck bodies.

Our ASE control system is easy to use, convenient and takes the guesswork out of crane operation and job site safety. We have programmed crane capacity and stability charts into the system to prevent crane use in unsafe conditions. In addition, overload protection features warn you when approaching load limits and will stop crane movement when you exceed limits.

The Process

A utility service truck is a vital investment, so our sales reps will work closely with you throughout the buying process. We want to ensure you get exactly what you need.

First, you will select the suitable chassis, body, crane, and accessories required for your application. Your sales rep will provide a quote and details about your service or lube truck. At this point, we can also look at loan and lease options with our finance company.

After approving the quote, you receive 2D drawings and 3D graphics to sign off on before we create a work order. Once the work order is submitted, your new service or lube truck goes into production.

Once your truck gets through production, you can come to pick it up at the factory, or we can arrange shipment.

We keep service trucks in stock for when you need a work-ready mechanics truck fast. Plus, we can add the work truck accessories you need.
